Overview: For your consideration is this very pretty 1950 Certina dress watch. The watch features a gold plated steel case, measuring 36mm in diameter. It features a beautiful patinated, but well readable dial with the brand's name sitting under 12. The dial features a non-chiffre setup with golden hands & golden indices. The watch houses the hand wound movement Certina KF324 that is pivoted in 16 Jewels. It winds well & runs good. The case shows signs of age like scratches & dents. The crown is a tastefully chosen replacement. Overall a really nice & well cared for survivor with beautiful patina. Due to the size it is still fashionable today. A very typical 1950s watch from one of the most innovative brands of the era. Condition: Condition Case: 6/10 The case has scratches & rub off on the edges. Overall well preserved in respect of the age Condition Dial: 6/10 The dial has patina that is even - The dial is original & well readable. So are indices & hands. It features the Swiss mechanical movement ALPINA 590R which is actually a manufacturer movement. Really nice at this price point. The watch runs nice, the amplitude is a bit low so I would suggest a service. The watch looks amazing on the wrist. I love the wide lunette & the silver sunburst dial. I've also always been a fan of those super slims with two hands. in this case, they are polished dauphine hands. Very attractive watch for him & her. For your consideration is this very elegant two-handed dresswatch by Swiss manufacturer Ernest Borel. The company is one of the most traditional Swiss watchmaking companies & was founded in 1856 in Neuchâtel. This fully mechanical watch consists of a gold plated steel case that houses a beautiful & well running Cal.1525 by Swiss company Adolph Schild, Grenchen, Swiss. The watch is set up as a two hand-setup. So, there is no visible seconds-hand which makes the already slick looking dial even more reduced & elegant designwise. Taking about the dial. Here we have a well preserved silver-sunburst dial with the companies name under 12 but otherwise no numbers but simple markers in gold. Very elegant design. The watch is delivered with a brand new "Hirsch" leather strap with lizard print. Tech Notes: Movement runs & keeps time. Setting works smooth. Winding works.
