The watch features a stainless steel coin style case with gold plating, a white enamel dial with gold indicators & small hands & a calendar with a quick change function. The watch carries the automatic Eterna movement 1426 with a sweep second. The watch is overall in vintage condition. The case shows strong signs of age. The dial has aged gracefully & darkened to an almost green color. It has some rub off & patina, especially on the edges but it is well readable. The crystal is brandnew. The watch carries a Eterna Branded Vintage bracelet with Eterna clasp. Tech Notes: Movement runs & keeps time. Quick set works. Crown has been changed over the years. Overview: For your consideration is this quite interesting piece. This was a German made ELGIN watch. From what I could find out is that the Americans had watches made all over the world including Switzerland & Germany. They slapped their label on it & sold it either in the US or to avoid import taxes, directly in the country of origin. This one is equipped with a classic German movement, the PUW 1261 automatic movement, made in Pforzheim. I've seen this movement in a few German watches, so I was quite surprised to find it in an ELGIN. The watch is overall in nice condition & very wearable. The macros don't really do it justice. It looks nice on the wrist & is in very good condition, especially the dial. We have put a new bracelet on the watch & gave it a new crystal. It is running reliably. It even carries it's original ELGIN crown. Condition: Condition Case: 7/10 Case shows signs of age like scratches & rub off but is overall in nice condition for the age. Condition Dial: 9/10 The dial has almost no patina. Minor grinding traces around the pinion. Condition Movement: 5/10 Movement runs immediately but is unserviced. Accuracy: -55 seconds // Amplitude 217 Condition Crystal: 10/10 New Crystal Condition Bracelet: 10/10 New Leather Bracelet. For your consideration is this 1960s Alpina Cal.590R Super Flat dress watch. The watch is housed in a gold plated steel case, measuring 33mm. It features the Swiss mechanical movement ALPINA 590R which is actually a manufacturer movement. Really nice at this price point. The watch runs nice, the amplitude is a bit low so I would suggest a service. The watch looks amazing on the wrist. I love the wide lunette & the silver sunburst dial. I've also always been a fan of those super slims with two hands. in this case, they are polished dauphine hands. Very attractive watch for him & her. Condition: Condition Case: 4/10 Case shows strong signs of aging, especially flaking of the plating. Condition Dial: 6/10 The dial has patina, especially on the edges. For your consideration is this very elegant two-handed dresswatch by Swiss manufacturer Ernest Borel. The company is one of the most traditional Swiss watchmaking companies & was founded in 1856 in Neuchâtel. This fully mechanical watch consists of a gold plated steel case that houses a beautiful & well running Cal.1525 by Swiss company Adolph Schild, Grenchen, Swiss. The watch is set up as a two hand-setup. So, there is no visible seconds-hand which makes the already slick looking dial even more reduced & elegant designwise. Taking about the dial. Here we have a well preserved silver-sunburst dial with the companies name under 12 but otherwise no numbers but simple markers in gold. Very elegant design. The watch is delivered with a brand new "Hirsch" leather strap with lizard print. Tech Notes: Movement runs & keeps time. Setting works smooth. Winding works.
