Made from rich black taffeta, this structured piece features four long, flowing straps, two in the front joined by an antique glass bead brooch, & two heavily adorned in the back with ornate black beadwork. Their weight ensures a graceful fall & balance to the silhouette. The crown is topped with fine black trim & hand-stitched blue & black bead embellishments, forming a quiet constellation. The back is crafted from braided straw, giving the piece its elegant structure. The rest of the bonnet is made from soft brown & bronze velvet & silk. The crown is delicately decorated with faux grapes an unusual & striking detail. The silk straps are original & slightly fragile due to age. Shows signs of wear but remains well-preserved & cherished. It comes in its original box aged but still in good condition.
