Original 1880s millinery children's bonnet. A beautifully preserved child's bonnet from around 1880, designed for outdoor walking attire for noble girls aged approximately 12 years. The back is crafted from braided straw, giving the piece its elegant structure. The rest of the bonnet is made from soft brown & bronze velvet & silk. The crown is delicately decorated with faux grapes an unusual & striking detail. The silk straps are original & slightly fragile due to age.
