A super kitsch vintage power dress suit dating to the 1980s - great exaggerated silhouette, quite forties, with flamboyant floral pattern - this would be great for drag, i'm thinking Detox meets Choriza May, Mugler on a budget...Two pieces, polyester with a nice smooth, soft handle, navy, with an eyecatching all over stylised floral print in pink, blue & green. The jacket is fitted at the waist, with pleated frills & bows over the hips. Full square eighties shoulders, the fabric gathered & supported with pads, the sleeves three quarter length. the jacket crosses over & fastens with snaps, creating a deep v neckline. Simple pencil skirt, elasticated at the waist, falling to just below knee length. The label reads ' Bernshaw Made in England 100% Polyester ' CONDITION Excellent, a couple of feint marks only visible on close inspection. A super kitsch vintage evening dress dating to the 1970s, very much of it's era, but also historically inspired, with a very Edwardian look - think Abigail's Party does historical re enactment... One piece , a mix of off white synthetic & cotton , floor length & loose fitting ( i've added the belt in the images, not included ) with a centre back zip & hook. The neck gathers with a drawstring, creating drape in the bodice , the sleeves wide & flaring in pale purple cotton, edged with lace. Self waistband, the skirt long & straight, with an open fronted over skirt in a different synthetic. The over skirt has wide bands of 70's stylised flowers & foliage, with cut out details, the wider band backed with a pale purple. The labels reads ' After 6 by Ronald Joyce ' ' 18 ' ' Hand wash or dry clean ' CONDITION Slight discolouration & some small marks, the most obvious around the neck , they get lost in the drape. A few very tiny holes in one sleeve. At the top of the zip the two sides have been sewn together, not sure if this is original. A stylish vintage housecoat - not sure if this is 1930s or 1950s so i won't commit to a date ( the print is very Art deco though ) One piece, in a glossy silk like fabric, pale blue green, with an off white print of stripes made up stylised Art Deco flowers, swirls & geometric lattice. Loose fitting, falling to below the knee, fastening with pearlescent plastic like white buttons moulded to the shape of flowers. Wide round collar, edged with ruffles, with short ties at the front. Fab balloon sleeves, elbow length with ties at the cuffs, set in with diagonal almost raglan seams. Worn with a belt as shown makes a very cool dress ( belt not included ) CONDITION Slight discolouration, most visible around the hem. The dress fastens with a side zip, & has a deep v neck, the fabric pleated at each side in to a pointed under bust seam. Grown on capped sleeves, the cuffs cut to curves.
