This bold & expressive maxi skirt is handcrafted from a brand-new pair of designer No21 jeans (Made in Italy). For me, creating this skirt was a true spark of creative energy. I have a passion for ethnic style & patchwork, & when I saw how beautifully the patterned cotton ikat could blend with the durable Italian denim, I knew I had to make this piece. It contains everything I love: uniqueness, handwork, & attention to detail. I carefully deconstructed the original jeans & transformed them into an A-line skirt with striking contrast panels on the front & back. The hand-applied fringe on the pocket & along the panel edges, as well as the decorative machine stitching in vibrant red, emphasize its unique character. This skirt is perfect for those who appreciate mindful fashion, handcrafted garments, & a strong, individual style.
