Dark blue indigo maxi skirt made through upcycling, with a semi-sheer lower part. Handmade from almost new G-Star denim shorts. One of a kind. This skirt is made from dense cotton denim with a soft, silky surface. Originally, it was a pair of almost new denim shorts high-quality material, no elastane, structured yet flexible. The color is a deep dark blue indigo. The upper part keeps the denim base, while the skirt flows into a light, semi-sheer tulle layer below. Thanks to the extended denim part, it can be worn without a petticoat comfortable & easy, with no unwanted transparency. The skirt feels both grounded & airy: structured denim gives it shape, while the transparent lower part adds movement & lightness. Each fabric was chosen individually to create a rich & expressive textile composition. The cut is relaxed & comfortable while still keeping a strong silhouette. The jacket fits approximately size M-L & can be worn slightly oversized or more fitted depending on body shape. I work with textiles the way a painter works with color & texture. I rarely plan pieces in advance. Instead, I follow the character of the fabrics themselves. Beautiful remnants are never thrown away in my studio they often become the starting point of a new work.
