Naturally madder root dyed & hand embellished piece of wearable textile art not a mass produced garment ???? This garment was not created in a factory or from new fabric. The colour comes from madder root (Rubia tinctorum). I dyed the textile myself using natural madder root powder, a traditional dye used for centuries to create warm rose & earth tones. Because of this process, the shade is soft, alive & impossible to reproduce exactly. After dyeing, I slowly transformed the piece by hand. Lace, cotton textures & bead details were added & stitched individually nothing is glued. Every small variation & irregularity is part of the handmade character & the nature of plant dye. This is not a costume & not fast fashion. It is a wearable piece of textile art for someone who enjoys natural materials & garments with a story. The fabric was naturally dyed using plant roots grown in my own garden over two years. After dyeing, I hand-embroidered the dress with glass beads & organic cotton details, attaching every element stitch by stitch. Nothing is glued every detail is sewn. Because of this process, the surface does not look factory-perfect.
