Kowalski is a small German handcraft eyewear brand with a devoted following among vintage eyewear collectors - & this NOS example from the early 2000s shows exactly why. The frame is handmade in Germany from high-quality acetate in a rich natural horn-stripe pattern: deep dark grey-black at the top of the frame & temples, fading through layers of olive green & warm khaki towards the bottom & the tips - the effect is organic, warm, & entirely unique, closely resembling genuine horn material. The frame shape is a softly rounded oval with a slight brow line emphasis - a classic silhouette that sits comfortably between retro & contemporary. The barrel hinges are set with small silver-tone metal rivet accents on the front corners. The inner side of one temple carries the engraved Kowalski script logo, & both temple tips are finished with a small inset star emblem - a subtle but distinctive Kowalski signature detail. The original circular Kowalski hang tag is still attached - illustrated with the brand's vintage-style graphic & the text "Stylest Glasses / Made in Germany / Union Made." A remarkable collector detail that confirms this frame has never been sold or worn. No lenses are fitted. Frame is undamaged & in excellent NOS condition.
