They are foil backed to give them an extra sparkle. I've placed each jewel in one-ring brass settings with a vintage patina (though the brass itself is new). Like all brass, the settings contain no nickel or lead & they're gentle on the skin. These stunning unique stones hang from elongated antiqued brass French wires. These are beauties!!
