The Unholy Vortex ring is completely handmade from Sterling Silver & features hand carved & engraved quality all around. The warped sheetmetal base is mirrorpolished to reflect the backside of the ringhead that seems to float ontop of the ring. Revealing the sight of the handengraved pentagram & pointed arch - gothic style design which is oxidized black for higher contrast. On the front the style is continued with a three dimensional skull & relief carved & engraved pointed arches. The back of the ringhead is also visible from the sides & shines with straight & exact lines. The ring in the pictures is a size 8 US which is an average size for women. Larger sizes will have a wider appearance while the ringhead is the same size of 1.2 x 0.6 inches. Very comfortable to wear also if you choose to wear one size bigger to acomodated for normal day to day finger swelling. This also means that the ring can be worn on the ringfinger as well as the middlefinger when choosing the right size. This feature is contributed by the long warped inner tube design that spreads grip evenly without being too tight. The Herakles Ring is one heavy chunk of sterling silver on one hand depicting delicately carved details of Herakles' body & face & on the other hand displayin rough & deep structures on the ringband as a purposefully utilization of further contrast. The wide & thick ringband keeps the ring pretty stable on the finger & does not feel top heavy, therefore there'll be no sideways roll which is also supported to the rough but satin sanded inside for more grip on the skin. As shown the ring comes in am overall oxidized & satin sanded finish to bring out every detail including Herakles' left ear & Serratus Anterior. This is the original handengraving that forms the base of my Sisyphus series. The original scrolldesign is handengraved in 2mm thick Sterling silver. The background is deep removed & stippled to a high contrast to the near mirror polished scrolls. Below is anadditional sheet of 0, 5mm Sterling Silver to build the base for the mechanical parts of the buckle. The size of the buckle without the loop for the belt is 47 x 48 mm. Belts up to 35-40mm can easily be accomdated in the Steel loop for durability. This is a UNIQUE piece & will not be remade. Hours spent on this go easily above 70 hours of engravingwork.
