The birch is the world tree for the Siberian shamans & has been the tree of new beginnings, light & spring since ancient times. Its glowing bark symbolizes the reawakening light & it is the first deciduous tree to sprout its leaves in spring & herald the awakening of nature. in this way, she gave ancient people the certainty that winter had been defeated. Life-Tree shirts are created in collaboration with leading fair trade producers (Fair Wear Foundation) in compliance with verifiable social & ethical standards. Our bamboo shirts are made from 70% bamboo viscose. For more than 10 years, we have relied on the quality & standards of the same manufacturer, who optimally processes this sustainable raw material & its unique properties as a viscose fiber in its textiles. Shirts made with bamboo viscose are characterized by high breathability & fluid absorption. They have a temperature-balancing effect & lead to less skin irritation & impress with their soft feel. in addition, they are adaptable and, in contrast to elastane, have natural flexibility. in the blended fabric we use combed organic cotton, which is manufactured according to the highest standards of production & processing. For every shirt sold, our partner Urban Tree Forrest plants a tree in its ecological & social projects.
