These Origami Earrings are a limited edition & only available until sold out. They are carefully folded with Japanese "Chiyogami" paper which is handmade in Kyoto. Material options: - Stainless steel, gold colored - Stainless steel, 18K real gold plated (hypoallergenic) The earrings are coated with a water resistant resin which makes the paper sturdy & durable. Even though this special fabric-like paper is highly resistant to water, it is recommended to not wet the earrings excessively. The pattern of the earrings paper may differ from the article delivered later, because it is a part of the larger original paper sheet & each earring is cut & folded individually by hand. "Chiyogami" is a Japanese word used to describe the graphic, repetitive designs, originally used on kimonos in the Edo period. These patterns were also used in paper making, & printed by wood-block for use in sacred objects, paper doll & small accessory making. in the 20th century, these patterns began to be applied using silk screens & this continues today. Please note: Due to the different screen settings, there may always be slight color differences. I make every effort to display the item as faithfully as possible.
