Antique White Muslin Tea Gown From 1914

Beautiful white muslin embroidered afternoon tea gown. Made in France between 1912 & 1916. The dress is virtually straight but the back, with its small armholes & v-shaped neck is reminiscent of the style of Paul Poirot. I think it's possible this dress was worn in pregnancy - the front is very generously cut. All the embroidered panels & skirt decoration are on a coarser loosely woven cotton. The gown is in perfect condition. It fastens at the back with crocheted buttons: all there. It would be possible to enlarge the armholes. Measurements are: neck opening: 71 cm armholes: 47 cm bust: 99 cm sleeve length from shoulder: 48 cm length from base of neck: 119/127 cm ( if tuck is opened). skirt width at hem: 184 cm Antique White Muslin Tea Gown From 1914
